Regarding the high stress index, university satisfaction was 2.67 and academic adjustment was 2.58.

Conclusions: The optometric students were found to have low academic satisfaction and college satisfaction when they were depressed and when they experienced greater stress, emotional instability, and difficulty with academic adjustment; thus, indicating that depression and stress had an influence on college life adjustment.
